The Scholastic School Book Fairs provide exciting opportunities for students and teachers to acquaint themselves with some of the latest books in a variety of genres in select cities across the country. In our child-friendly Book Fair books are displayed according to age group and genre. There are also exciting books-plus items, stationary and posters.
The colourfully-decorated Fair has a host of fun activities like a lucky draw, crafts and quizzing activities. Our Fairs always have a seasonal theme. The racks, activities and posters are related to the theme to make the students’ experience fun and memorable.
The Book Fair has about 500 titles. While a bookshop may offer you more titles, our stringent selection process ensures that every book in the Fair has been vetted and individually selected. We carry the best books from every genre, so that the children will always be happy with the book they choose, and parents and teachers can trust that the content will be the finest available. We offer not only Scholastic books from around the world, but also the best books from other Indian and international publishers. International titles are frequently sold by us at Indian prices, which means that there is a substantial in-built discount in the price of a book. The selection of books is regularly updated to include the best-sellers abroad and in India.
To make book selection easy and comfortable, there are special browsing sessions where the students can spend as much time as they like looking at the books.
We like to tie up our Fairs with celebrations in the schools, so that we can partner with the schools in making the celebrations even more special. If the school has a book week, we like to create special events to complement their literary activities.
Having a Fair during the school PTM or other open day when parents come to visit is a great way of letting parents select age-appropriate books for their children. However, if parents cannot participate, their children can take home our special wish lists to share the books they like with their parents.
